In November we're discussing the topic of TOP MUSIC. In our group we made a recordnig and we created a poster presenting our favourite singers and groups. It seems hip-hop is the most popular type of music among girls and techno is more popular among boys.

Greetings from Athens, Greece

Welcome to our school, 1st Gymnasium of Chaidari, Athens

Poland Independence Day

On 11th November Poland celebrates National Independence Day.

It is a public holiday to commemorate the anniversary of regaining independence after 123 years of partitions between Prussia, Russia and Austria. Polish Independence Day is connected with general Józef Piłsudski. 11th November is the day the Regency Council appointed him Commander-in-Chief of Polish forces. The Indepence Day was constituted in1937 and was a national holiday in the inter-war Poland. After the World War II the holiday was repudiated. In 1989 the 11th November was re-established as the National Independence Day.

Poland - meeting with a Spanish guest

On 4th November our eTwinning Club invited a guest form Spain. We were glad to host Mikel Gonzalez from San Sebastian. Our guest told us about Spanish history, food and traditions. We also learned about lives of our Spanish peers. It was also very interesting to learn some basic words and phrases. We described to our guest the aim of our project. We are happy that thanks to our Spanish partners we had an idea to invite a guest from our partner's country.

1st November in Poland

On 1st November young people from our school for the fifth time collected money at the cemetery in Bielszowice. Students and teachers gathered donations to the John Paul II Hospice in Ruda Śląska. It's worth mentioning that year by year the generosity of people from Bielszowice is growing, because this time we collected 4007.72 zł. Once again, thanks to this charity event we could realize that "whoever believes in the goodness of man, this creates the goodness in man" (Jean Paul Sartre).

The Bulgarian eTwinners greet you

Hello!

We are students from class 8th A at Dimiter Popnickolov school in Sofia, Bulgaria. We are happy to work with you on the project Top 10 favourites with the EU teenagers.

This year we study English 18 lessons a week, so the project activities will be a good practice for us to improve the language. We have two English teachers – Mrs Taralova and Mrs Dimitrova.

There are 29 students in our class and everyone is in the project. We are 20 girls and 9 boys. The motto of our class is Never give up!

Our school is working on two Comenius projects this year. Our class participates in the Comenius project European time in a capsule. We are having a working meeting on the other Comenius project soon and three students from our class: Nickoleta, Marinela and Victoria are host students. They will have guests from Belgium and France.
